Dr. A. Ramakrishna

Dr. A. Ramakrishna is an Associate Professor in the Department of Dravyaguna with over 10 years of combined experience in Ayurvedic research and academic teaching. He completed his BAMS and MD (Dravyaguna) from S.V. Ayurvedic Medical College, Tirupati, under Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh.

He began his research career as a Senior Research Fellow at the Dr. A. Lakshmipathi Research Centre for Ayurveda (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH, Chennai (2014–2017), where he was involved in pharmacognostical and pharmacological studies on medicinal plants. Following this, he entered academics and has served in various reputed Ayurvedic institutions. He worked as Assistant Professor at Om Ayurveda Medical College, Roorkee (2018–2019) and later joined Sri Sairam Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre, Chennai, where he served as Lecturer (2019–2023) and Associate Professor (2023–2026). He is currently working as an Associate Professor at Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research Hospital, Cuttack, Odisha.

Dr. Ramakrishna has extensive experience in teaching undergraduate Ayurveda students and actively mentors them in research and academic activities. He has published numerous research papers in national and international journals indexed in Web of Science and other recognized databases. His research interests include medicinal plant pharmacology, Ayurvedic drug standardization, integrative medicine, and the application of emerging technologies in Ayurveda.

He has presented research papers at several national and international conferences and has received recognition for his academic and research contributions, including the Best Researcher Award (Ayurveda Faculty) from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. He also serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine and actively contributes to academic innovation and research initiatives.
