Department Overview

Physiology in Ayurveda & Modern Science

The Department of Kriya Sharir (Human Physiology) explores the functioning of the human body through the twin lenses of Ayurveda and contemporary science. We are involved in the scientific study of fundamentals like Dosha, Saptadhatu, Mala, Agni, and Prakriti.

Quick Fact
Physiology of Life

"It explains the user workings of the body through the Tridosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), Dhatus (Tissues), and Malas (Wastes)."

Our curriculum integrates ancient wisdom with modern physiological understanding, bridging the gap to comprehend how Ayurvedic treatments work on a functional level. We actively implement innovative teaching methods to shape critical thinking and clinical orientation in our students.

Key Study Areas
  • Fundamentals: Mana, Aatma, Indriya, Aaharapaka, Agni.
  • Biological Strength: Assessment of Prakriti (Constitution), Agnibala (Digestive fire), and Dhatu Sarata.
  • Diagnostics: Hematology, Urine analysis, Cardiac & Respiratory examinations.
