Author Guidelines

Manuscript Preparation and Submission Instructions

1. Manuscript Preparation

1.1 General Format

  • Article should not be published elsewhere or in the publication process
  • Use Microsoft Word, 1.5-spaced with 1-inch margins
  • Times New Roman: Size 12 for text, Size 14 for headings
  • Ayurveda terms in Italic font with English terminology
  • Word count: 4000-6000 words (excluding references)
  • Non-text items: Maximum 8 (tables, figures)
  • Order: Title → Abstract → Keywords → Introduction → Materials & Methods → Results → Discussion → Conclusion → References
  • Important: Do not include author/institutional details in main file (blind review)

1.2 Title Page

  • Concise, informative title
  • Manuscript type: Review/Original/Case report/Short communication/Letter
  • Full author names, affiliations, contact details
  • Corresponding author's complete information
  • Funding sources and conflicts of interest

1.3 Abstract and Keywords

  • Review articles: Non-structured abstract (max 250 words)
  • Original articles: Structured abstract (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions)
  • 3-5 keywords relevant to research (not in title)
  • Graphical abstracts highly appreciated

2. Manuscript Sections

2.1 Introduction

State purpose, brief literature review, research question/hypothesis. Avoid subheadings, extensive reviews, or results summary.

2.2 Materials and Methods

Study design, sampling, inclusion/exclusion criteria, ethical approvals (CTRI, institutional/animal ethics), statistical tests.

2.3 Observation and Results

Present findings logically with text, tables, and figures. Do not repeat data.

2.4 Discussion

Key findings in context, new contributions, mode of action, limitations, future research.

2.5 Conclusion

Summarize main findings and implications.

3. References (AMA Style)

List references in order of appearance. Use Arabic numerals in square brackets [1]. Include DOI and URLs for online articles.

4. Ethical & Submission

  • Include ethics statement and conflict of interest declaration
  • Double-blind peer review - do not include identity in main file
  • Authors receive proofs for minor corrections before publication
  • Open Access: Authors retain copyright; journal has publishing rights
  • Authorship: Follow ICMJE 2018 guidelines
Article Types
Original Article

Clinical/Experimental studies in IMRAD format. Follow CONSORT, ARRIVE, or STROBE guidelines.

Review Article

Critical analysis with methodology section. Abstract max 150 words, text max 7000 words.

Case Report

Rare clinical observations, atypical conditions, novel diagnostic applications. Follow CARE guidelines.

Short Communication

Brief research findings or preliminary results.
