About
Dr. Shiva Prasad Mohanty is a dedicated Ayurvedic scholar and educator serving as Associate Professor at Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science & Research Hospital, Sri Sri University. He holds an MD (Ayu) from RGESAMCH, Ron under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and a BAMS degree from Government Ayurveda College under Sambalpur University. Dr. Mohanty specializes in Dravyaguna (Ayurvedic Pharmacology) and has been honoured for his academic contributions, receiving the prestigious Best Dissertation Award from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka, in 2014. He has authored more than 26 Scholarly articles in various prestigious journals and authored 2 books. His scholarly interests lie in phytochemistry, experimental studies, and surveying indigenous flora—areas he actively explores through both research and teaching. Driven by a deep commitment to Ayurvedic science, Dr. Mohanty combines rigorous research and teaching to preserve traditional wisdom while nurturing sustainable, evidence-based practices.
