Prof. (Dr.) Padma Lochan Sankhua is currently working as Professor in the Dept. of Panchakarma in Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research Hospital, Sri Sri University, Cuttack, Odisha since 7th March, 2025. He has completed BAMS from Govt. Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Puri, Odisha under Utkal University in 1991 and completed MD in Kayachikitsa from Govt. Ayurveda College and Hospital, Raipur, Madhya Pradesh (at present Chhattisgarh) under Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University, Madhya Pradesh (at present Chhattishgarh) in the year 1999. He has also completed Ph.D. in Panchakarma in Govt. Ayurveda College and Hospital, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh under Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh in the year 2022. He has worked in different Ayurvedic Colleges like Yashwant Ayurvedic College, Kodoli, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Govt. Ayurveda College and Hospital, Balangir, Odisha and Govt. Ayurveda College and Hospital, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He has an approximately 22 years of teaching experience in U. G. and 8 years of P.G. Panchakarma teaching experiences. He was born on 25th February, 1965. He is also M.A. in English from regional centre Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh under IGNOU, New Delhi in 2015. He has deep knowledge in English, Hindi, Sanskrit and Odia languages. He has published one book of Ayurveda, Paryayamuktavali, of national reputation. He has guided 5 M.D. Panchakarma scholars and Co-guided 4 M.D. Panchakarma scholars. He has also been awarded with Best Physician in Panchakarma and Jayadev Samman. He has published articles in more than 30 magazines. He has attended many National and International seminars. He has also given Radio talks and has done TV programmes. He has keen interest in treating neurological disorders through Panchakarma of Ayurveda.
