There are some foods which are very beneficial to protect the liver and enhance the liver function. These foods not only protects the liver but also helps in enhancing its function.
Take a piece of Preferably fresh Amla/ dried one and soak it in water and drink the water in next day. Amla contains lot of vitamin C and antioxidant property which not only revitalizes the liver, but purifies the blood and detoxifies the entire body.
Bilva (Aegle marmelos)
Bilva is a sacred plant in india since ancient times. It is used for stomach ailments since ancient times. Chewing the leaves of bilwa leaves in the empty stomach helps to improve the bile secretion and is hepatoprotective in nature. Dried powder of unripe bilva plant also can be added to water and taken to improve the gut health.

The leaves of the plant can be consumed raw or it can dried and powder can be consumed with water. Bhumyamalaki chutney is also made in some part of South india. Ragi (Finger Millet)
