“I do not desire kingdom nor do I want heaven, not even rebirth! I merely wish to have the strength to alleviate the misery of others. “
~ Maharshi Charak
World hypertension day is commemorated to raise awareness among hypertension patients. It is originally introduced on May 14, 2005. Every year since 2006, the World Hypertension League (WHL), an umbrella organisation for 85 national hypertension societies, has commemorated this on May 17 every year. The subject of the awareness campaign is “Measure your blood pressure, regulate it, and live longer.”
Based on clinical presentation, Prakriti Analysis (Ayurgenomics), and Diagnosis, Ayurveda consistently prioritizes the elimination of main doshic components from the body.
Hypertension is a Pitta-dominated Vata aggravation caused by sanga or blockage in the bio-mechanism of the body. In this condition dietary, lifestyle and psychological factors contribute significantly to its aggravation and reason for the establishment of the disease.
Virechana Therapy followed by Arohana Snehapana is the preferred treatment for such situations in order to identify the exacerbated Pitta and safeguard the afflicted individuals by creating the bio-balance mechanism of Vatta, Pitta, and Kapha in humans.
Virechana Treatment, an Ayurvedic bio-cleansing strategy, should be taken once in every six months by all patients suffering from hypertension in order to live a healthy and happy life.
