The First CME Of Sri Sri Ayurveda Hospital

The inaugural session was started with Guru Puja & Prarthana. Madam Sri Vidya one of the frontline devotees of the Art of Living began the program with Paduka Puja, Guru Bandana & Prarthana.

Dr. Sandhya Sadana, C.A.O., Sri Sri Ayurveda Hospital, SSU presented her welcome address and guest recognition with felicitation to all the six resource persons. She has highlighted the objective of the ongoing CME and the future planning of Sri Sri Ayurveda Hospital. SSU to take the leadership to cater to Ayurvedic Health Education in the global scenario.

Mrs. Rajita Kulkarni, President, SSU delivered her Presidential Address to the gatherings of medicos. She emphasized the recent challenges of the Corona Virus which has become pandemic in a short period and advised to work together to find out its remedy before running out of time. She expressed, the objective of Sri Sri Ravishankar Ji to establish Ayurveda Hospital and college in the eastern part of India with an excellent scientific hub.

Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Sri Sri University, congratulated all the doctors, medical students, and resource persons. He described the preventive aspects as well as the recent increased demand for Ayurveda in the international field. He expects such type of CME would improve medical knowledge among the peer Intelligential group.

Prof. (Dr.) B.R. Sharma, Registrar, SSU, started his speech by describing the justification and significance of the establishment of AYUSH ministry since 2014. He expressed the beauty of Ayurveda and Yoga for the modification of lifestyle disorders and broad range control of the prevention of diseases through a regular practice of Yoga. Prof.(Dr.) Durga Prasad Dash, Medical Superintendent of Sri Sri Ayurveda Hospital ends the session with a vote of thanks to all the delegates, guests, resource persons, media people, event management teams, and all in &outside participants of SSU.


The experienced resource persons from Ayurveda, Allopathy, Osteopathy, and yoga were felicitated in the inaugural session. Prof. (Dr.) B.B. Khuntia, Principal KATS Ayurved College, Ankushppur, Ganjam, Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Panda, Govt. Ayurved College, Balangir, Prof (Dr.) Sanjeev Kumar Dey, Principal, Raghunath Ayurved Mahavidyalaya & Hospital, West Bengal, Prof. (Dr.) E. Venkata Rao, Prof. Community Medicine, Institute of Medical Science, SUM Hospital, Bhubaneswar, Prof. (Dr.) B.R. Sharma, Registrar, SSU, Prof. (Dr.) Tirthankar Ghosh, Professor, Dept. of Osteopathy, SSU, delivered their excellent speech with practical demonstration and delivered lectures in their research-oriented clinical topics in front of inquisitive intelligentsia community like medical students, staff, clinicians and academic persons.

Prof. (Dr.) B.B. Khuntia, Principal, KATS Ayurveda Medical College, Ankushpur, Ganjam delivered his lecture on Basics of clinical practice in Ayurveda. He has described many important points concerning Ayurvedic research with modern parameters & practical oriented Ayurvedic Education. He narrated about Dosha, Dhatu & Mala responsible for causing diseases and how to balance Dosha & Dhatu through Ayurvedic way of practice.

Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Ku. Dey, Principal, Raghunath Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya & Hospital, Kantei, West Bengal highlighted the topic Approach to Ayurvedic Practice. During his lecture, he has pointed out practical oriented Ayurvedic treatment as per Dosha Dusya Samurchharna and Ansasha Kalpana. He has described the difference between single-drug therapy & compound drug therapy for the management of different diseases.
Prof. (Dr.) P.K.Panda, Professor & Head, P.G. Department of Roga Nidana, Govt. Ayurveda College, Balangir. He is one of the senior professors of the Ayurvedic Pathology department. He has discussed the topic of Research-Based Clinical Management of Certain Diseases & its Evaluation. During his say, he has narrated about his research works on different critical diseases like sickle cell anemia, liver cirrhosis, eczema, psoriasis, etc. Ayurvedic drugs are more effective in comparison to modern drugs in those chronic diseases.

Dr. Tirthankar Ghosh, Professor in Physiology, SSU presented his topic of Occupational Ergonomics in Evidence-Based Health Prevention. He has discussed the management of multiple diseases as per the root cause. In-office the sitting chair, the height of the table, and comfort ness matters a lot for the creation of disease due to the wrong positioning of the vertebral column for a long period of time.
