It is believed in Hindu philosophy that the Shivratri Celebration with night awakening
provides health, longevity, and fulfillment of desires. That’s why people of the different age groups of the Hindu Community observe Shivratri with care and fear to Lord Shiva believed as the father of destruction. On the eve of Shivratri, Sri Sri Ayurveda Hospital planned to conduct a weekly camp with free medicine distribution and to provide different Panchakarma treatment procedures at discounted rates to those students and staff members of the University. The school children around the University have attended the camp and examined by Prof. (Dr.) Durga Prasad Dash, Ayurvedic Pediatrician thoroughly and distributed the required medicines. Around 200 patients were examined through the camp by the doctors of SSUAYH. Dr. Armaan Pariksha examined gynecological cases, Dr. Mili Bisoi examined Panchakarma Patients, Dr. Manas Ranjan Sahoo examined Kaya Chikitsa Patients and Dr. P.K. Pattanaik (Shalya Specialist) examined Piles, Fistula & Fissure cases during the camp period. The patients we got during the camp period maximum of patients in the pediatric age group are suffering from worm infestation and skin diseases. Kaya Chikitsa and Panchakarma department could able to examine more arthritis patients which are considered under VataVyadhi as per Ayurvedic classics.
The entire week of Shivratri was declared by the Hospital as MahaShivratri Care Week. The objective of the celebration was to prevent and promote health by providing different varieties of Panchakarma & Osteopathy treatments for the benefit of people at reasonable rates. From all treatments, young boys and girls were interested to take Netra Tarpana & Hair Therapy. Nadi Pariksha has done in all patients as per the demand.
